Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

This policy explains how NetRemedy.com handles information when you read our guides, use article feedback, or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email info@netremedy.com.

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message, and any attachments. We use this information to respond, investigate corrections, and manage the conversation. NetRemedy uses Fastmail for its email service.

Please do not send passwords, verification codes, recovery keys, payment-card details, or other sensitive account information. Include only the details needed to explain your question.

Website analytics

We use Burst Statistics to understand which guides people visit and how the site is used. Analytics can include pages viewed, referring websites, visit timing, and browser or device information. Burst stores its site analytics in our WordPress database.

Our current Burst configuration uses a first-party cookie containing a visitor identifier to recognize repeat visits. It is not configured in cookieless mode. Burst describes its identifier as anonymous, but this does not mean that every part of operating the website is anonymous: hosting and security logs are separate, as explained below.

Burst’s optional sharing of anonymous usage data with its developer is currently disabled. Its option to honor browser “Do Not Track” requests is also currently disabled, so that browser setting alone does not stop these analytics. You can manage or block cookies through your browser. Read more about Burst’s approach to anonymization.

“Was this helpful?” feedback

When you choose “Yes, it helped” or “Not yet,” the feedback feature adds your response to an aggregate total for that article. It does not ask for a name or email address, and its totals do not contain an individual voter profile.

To discourage repeat responses, the feature places a first-party cookie named with the prefix nr_helpful_ in your browser. It also stores an expiry marker in local storage using the prefix nr-helpful-. The cookie expires after 180 days; the local-storage marker stops being used after the same period, although it can remain stored until you clear site data. These items support the feedback feature rather than advertising.

The request still passes through our hosting and security systems, which may log technical information. Clearing browser data does not remove a response from an article’s aggregate total. Because the totals do not identify individual voters, we cannot reliably locate a particular person’s response within them.

Hosting, security, and site maintenance

Our hosting service and security tools may process IP addresses, requested URLs, request times, browser information, and login or suspicious-activity records to deliver the site, diagnose faults, and protect it from abuse.

We use Wordfence for website security. Security-related information may be processed by Wordfence’s provider as part of those services. See the Wordfence privacy policy for details about its processing.

WordPress administration, caching, and maintenance tools also support the site. The installed ManageWP Worker plugin supports remote site management; information processed through management or backup services depends on the features in use. Site backups, where maintained, can contain copies of the website database and its records.

Cookies and your choices

In addition to analytics and feedback storage, WordPress and security tools may use cookies for login sessions, account preferences, and access protection. Administrative login cookies concern people using those functions; you do not need to log in to read our guides.

Your browser lets you delete cookies and local storage or restrict their use. Some functions, including remembering a feedback response or maintaining a login, may then behave differently. Cookie controls do not prevent the technical processing needed to serve a page or protect the site.

Links, referrals, and third-party content

Our guides link to external websites and may include clearly disclosed affiliate or referral links, including Starlink. A referral identifier in a link can let the destination attribute a visit or qualifying signup to NetRemedy. The destination’s privacy policy applies when you visit or use its service.

If a page includes third-party embedded content, such as a video, that provider may receive technical information when the content loads or you interact with it. An ordinary external link and embedded content are different: you do not have to follow an external link to keep reading NetRemedy.

Comments and newsletters

Public comments are currently disabled. The site does not currently offer a newsletter signup form. Emailing us or submitting article feedback does not subscribe you to a newsletter. We will update this policy if we introduce subscription features.

Retention and service providers

Different records have different retention periods. Article feedback totals currently have no automatic expiry. Email correspondence, analytics, technical logs, and backup copies follow their applicable service settings and operational needs; there is no single deletion period covering them all.

Hosting, email, security, and maintenance providers may process information to support the functions described here. Depending on the provider and service, processing may occur outside your country. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law or necessary to address abuse and protect the site.

Privacy requests and changes

Contact info@netremedy.com to ask about information you have provided or request access, correction, or deletion. Tell us enough to identify the relevant correspondence without sending sensitive documents unnecessarily. We may need to verify a request, and some records may need to be retained for security, legal, or operational reasons. Available rights depend on applicable law.

We will revise this page when our practices or site features change. The date above shows when this notice was last updated.
